Over the years, Conor McGregor, a former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, has frequently been associated with the WWE. He has also engaged in conversations with Paul Heyman and Sheamus on social media. McGregor stated in March 2024 that he was not interested in WWE at that time and that the organization had not contacted him.
Conor McGregor is renowned for his outstanding achievements in mixed martial arts, which include being the first fighter to simultaneously hold titles in the featherweight and lightweight categories. Cody Rhodes would naturally want to see McGregor transition to the WWE given his success. McGregor has actually finally addressed Rhodes' interest in this possible transfer.

WWE Superstars and Conor McGregor are accustomed to engaging in online feuds. He and Roman Reigns' Special Counsel Paul Heyman had a furious argument last year. Following their back-and-forth, Heyman put McGregor under caution. At WWE SummerSlam the previous year, McGregor even challenged Roman Reigns to a match, but it didn't work out.
Conor McGregor may compete in the WWE in the future
Recently, Cody Rhodes expressed his desire to see McGregor transition into the WWE in an interview with The Schmo. The competition in WWE is different from what many people believe, he explained; it takes a lot of professionalism and discipline to succeed, especially if you want to attend events like WrestleMania. Given McGregor's impressive fighting record, Rhodes thought it would be a good idea for him to investigate the entertainment side of sports at this time.
He assumed McGregor would thrive there. The prospect of Conor McGregor competing in the WWE in the future has not been ruled out. He may or may not join the promotion, but there are fresh opportunities as a result of the recent WWE and UFC merger. Thus, it remains to be seen if The Notorious One would eventually join the WWE and possibly start a feud with Cody Rhodes.
