WATCH: The Rock hugs Cody Rhodes, acknowledges Roman Reigns as The OTC on WWE Raw's Netflix Premiere

The Rock returned to WWE Raw during the Netflix Premiere and surprised the fans with his move. The Final Boss congratulated Cody Rhodes for carrying the company on his back. He turned his attention to Roman Reigns and regarded him as the Original Tribal Chief. He later crowned Roman as the Tribal Chief after the Tribal Combat.

Fans were not too happy with the segment where The Rock congratulated Cody for carrying the company. The fact that The Rock was against Cody as a heel at WrestleMania XL and suddenly showed signs of babyface confused the fans. The Final Boss hugged Cody and asked about Mamma Rhodes, which has received mixed opinions from the fans.

The Rock was on Roman's side when the latter took on Cody at WrestleMania XL and in the leadup towards it. During the period, The Final Boss went back and forth with the American Nightmare which included him smashing Cody with a belt and performing a concert to mock him.

The Rock acknowledges Roman Reigns as the Original Tribal Chief

The 10-time world champion claimed Rhodes was a mistake and did everything in his might to stomp the current world champion. However, after Roman lost to Cody at WrestleMania XL, he showed up on Raw and teased a potential future match with him. Hence, his segment with Cody during the Netflix Premiere confused the fans.

Another segment that surprised the fans was The Rock acknowledging Roman as the Original Tribal Chief. It did not surprise the fans as much as the segment with Cody did, as The Rock had already acknowledged Roman as the Tribal Chief in the leadup to WrestleMania XL.

However, when the People's Champ returned to Bad Blood, he had a cryptic message for Roman, Cody, and Jimmy Uso. Fans were surprised that he did not live up to it during the Netflix Premiere. Many felt it might be a way to distract his opponents. In the upcoming weeks, fans might get an idea on the motive of the Final Boss.
