WATCH: Stephanie Vaquer wins NXT Women's North American title at Vengeance Day

The Vengeance Day premium live event was hosted by WWE's NXT brand at the CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C. There were several championship matches at the tournament, and the Dark Angel is currently the winner. The NXT Women's North American title was defended by Fallon Henley against Stephanie Vaquer in one of tonight's title matches. Stephanie Vaquer won the NXT Women's North American Title, wrestling's maiden title. On WWE NXT Vengeance Day, Stephanie Vaquer and former champion Fallon Henley squared off.

The NXT rookie has been vying for this title for some time, and many fans were hoping that she would win it at last. The premium live event began with this match. As they headed to the ring, Fallon Henley and the rest of Fatal Influence exuded confidence. Karmen Petrovich and Kelani Jordan were seen in the crowd, observing. The challenger's loud "Stephanie" chants kicked off this match. Stephanie Vaquer successfully restrained Fallon Henley with a series of submission holds, but the champion managed to break free early on, primarily by putting herself in the ropes.

Fans repeatedly witnessed a counter to a counter because Stephanie Vaquer appeared to be one step ahead of Fallon Henley. To support her stablemate, Jacy Jayne managed to land a massive boot on the challenger after Henley once kicked Vaquer off a springboard attempt, sending her out of the ring. Fallon Henley used a barrage of forearms to hold Vaquer down, but it was unsuccessful.

Stephanie Vaquer wins her first WWE title

Stephanie Vaquer quickly rallied with a series of powerful offensive plays. Henley was kicked out of multiple close counts as a result. Even though Stephanie Vaquer was nailed by Jacy Jayne once more, it was only a close two-count. 

At ringside, Vaquer ultimately defeated the Fatal Influence gals. Then, with a risky dive to the outside, she took them all down. Then Vaquer dived from the top to win after nailing her finisher. Stephanie Vaquer's wins her first WWE singles title. She has now solidified her position at the top of the women's roster, and it was undoubtedly a significant victory.
