WATCH: Gunther gets mad at Alpha Academy's dance, squashes Akira Tozawa on WWE Raw

Gunther was mad at the Alpha Academy members dancing backstage on WWE Raw. The Ring General observed Akira Tozawa's dance and invited him to a match on Monday Night Raw. The World Heavyweight Champion squashed Tozawa, attacked Otis, and sent a message to Jey Uso. While the Main Event Jey came to Alpha Academy's rescue, it was a bit too late.

Before the start of WWE Raw, Gunther headed towards the locker room. On his way, the Imperium star observed the trio of Maxxine Dupri, Tozawa, and Otis enjoying their time by dancing as usual. Gunther went mad and wished it was a pure Wrestling company, not a Sports Entertainment company. The segment had an impact on Gunther's appearance on WWE Raw.

He showed up and claimed Ohio's crowd deserved something who cheered for Jey. He claimed to challenge someone similar to Jey and invited Akira to a match. Tozawa was surprised that Gunther called him for a match. But the Ring General claimed he allowed Tozawa to earn his respect, something Jey never could.

Gunther squashes Akira Tozawa on WWE Raw

The Ring General claimed he initially was mad at Jey for choosing him as his WrestleMania opponent. However, he realized that it was an opportunity for him to squash a clown like Jey on the grandest stage. Tozawa entered the ring and Gunther reminded him of some similarities they had.

The world champion claimed both he and Akira had to reduce their weight to achieve their dreams of being wrestlers. He asked Tozawa to earn his respect by putting up a fight. The Alpha Academy star did exactly that as he nearly upset the world champion in his match.

Despite Gunther squashing Akira, it was an entertaining match. After claiming a win, Gunther attacked Akira with a sleeper lock. Otis tried to help his teammate but in turn, had to sustain a sleeper lock himself. Jey came to their assistance and forced Gunther to retreat. But the Ring General had sent a message to the Main Event Jey.
