The 50-year-old Adam Copeland (formerly known as Edge) has come up with the latest update on his injury, which he sustained during the TnT Championship against Malakai Black. The ‘steel cage match’ was played at the ‘AEW Double-or-nothing PPV’ event. Edge broke his tibia while trying an ‘over the cage’ move over ‘almost destroyed’ Malakai Black.

Copeland posted a video from his official X handle (formerly Twitter), in which he spoke about his injury and also praised Malakai Black for the amazing fight in the ‘steel cage match’ during the ‘AEW Double-or-nothing PPV’ match. He has also confirmed that he’ll be out of action from the ring for the next few months which also means that he’ll have to relinquish his ‘TnT Championship’ title; the match for the championship will be announced by the company in the later months.

“I'm 50 and need to make better choices” – Adam Copeland

“Double or Nothing, flew back yesterday. Malakai Black, dude is an animal, just really, really, really damn good. As you're about to find out in this video, I guess the house always does win. ... I've been feeling really good lately and having so much fun in the ring and I got cocky, I guess is what it boils down to. I'm probably a narcissist and egomaniac, and I'll unpack that one day,” said Copeland in his video.

“My brain forgets what my body always seems to remember a little late -- that I'm 50 and need to make better choices. My body pulled the emergency brake on me the other night and I ended up fracturing my tibia. It's going to require surgery, I don't know the timeframe on that yet,” he added later.

Meanwhile, the video of Adam Copeland giving updates about his injury and relinquishing his title is also making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by him on X.
