Was 2024 WWE's greatest SummerSlam in history?

SummerSlam 2024 turned out to be a great PLE. It was probably the best PPV event since WrestleMania XL. Many have claimed it to be the greatest SummerSlam ever considering the incredible moments, some good matches, and the great story involved in the event, many have claimed it to be a great watch. 2024 can make a good claim of being the best SummerSlam ever.

The night started with the match between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley. Liv defended the title as Dom stopped Mami from using the steel chair. Dom ended up kissing Liv leaving Mami heartbroken. The match between Bron Breakker and Sami Zayn was booked well. Sami dropped the title as he had to join the story of the Bloodline Civil War.

The match between LA Knight and Logan Paul turned out to be one of the best of the night. Both wrestlers delivered great in-ring work and Knight winning the match was the correct decision. What followed was the match between Bayley and Nia Jax. It wasn't anything special. However, the dynamics between Nia and Tiffany Stratton developed with her attempt to cash in the contract.

Star-studded main event caps of SummerSlam 2024

As Nia became the new WWE Women's Champion, there was a brief moment where Awesome Truth, A Town Down Under, and Jelly Roll got their SummerSlam moments. The match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre featuring Seth Rollins as the guest referee was nothing short of a cinema. Drew won the match and finally got his revenge.

Gunther and Damian Priest were involved in a brutal match. Finn Balor costing Damian was the perfect ending for the match. The main event match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa wasn't great. But the number of stars involved in the match including the return of Roman Reigns and Randy Orton made it a special watch leading to a fantastic end to the show.
