Former WWE chief executive Vince McMahon has been accused of causing a multi-car crash. Surprisingly, according to the state police, it happened just hours before the death of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan.
The accident took place on the Merritt Parkway in Westport on 24 July. Police stated that McMahon was driving a 2024 Bentley Continental GT Speed northbound when he rear-ended a BMW. As a result, he crashed into a wooden guardrail. The impact was so strong that debris flew across the divider and hit a car in the southbound lanes.

Fortunately, no serious injuries occurred, as all three drivers were wearing seatbelts and airbags deployed in both McMahon's Bentley and the BMW.
The police report confirmed that McMahon was driving alone at the time of the crash. He was later released on a $500 bond. However, the former WWE chief has been charged with reckless driving and must appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26.

Vince McMahon stepped down as WWE CEO in 2022 after an internal investigation into sexual misconduct allegations. He later also resigned from his executive chairman role at TKO Group Holdings, WWE's parent company.
Meanwhile, the WWE universe has been mourning the death of Hulk Hogan. WWE released an official statement, saying: "WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans."

Now, a week after his passing, the real cause of death has been revealed. Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, died of acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, according to a copy of Hogan's cremation report.
