Flair claimed Hogan was fine, although he had health issues. He felt everything seemed fine with Hogan just a day before his death.
"I had just talked to Jimmy Hart the day before and I didn't actually speak with Hulk, but everything was fine. He felt that Hulk probably got too tired due to 11 back operations, hip replacements, and a neck surgery. The 16-time world champion felt that a man could not take more than it and remembered how they put everything on the line during their heydays in the Wrestling business.
"I think he just got tired. I mean, 11 back operations, hip replacements, and now a neck surgery. I mean, how much can your body take? We've all put ourselves in a ridiculous position in the business," Flair added in his statement in the interview.

On the contrary, Flair compared his health and age to that of Hogan. The veteran said he was five years older than Hogan and was not hurt in any way. While Flair claimed to have serious health issues himself, he said there is no ache or pain in his body. He was bothered and anxious about his life following Hogan's death.
"But here I am, and I'm five years older than Hulk, and I don't hurt at all. I've had some serious health issues, but I don't have an ache or pain in my body. It bothers me, and of course, it gives me anxiety that I could be next," Flair added in his statement in the interview.
