Triple H to boost security to prevent CM Punk from costing Drew McIntyre at Money in the Bank

Triple H is likely to increase the security in Toronto during the Money in the Bank. The move comes following the repeated interference of CM Punk in the title matches of Drew McIntyre in the last few months. The voice of the voiceless has cost Drew the title matches at least twice in the last 3-4 months. The biggest of them was at the Clash the Castle.

At WrestleMania XL, it was Drew's own mistake that cost him the title. Damian Priest cashed in the Money in the Bank contract to win his maiden world title. On Raw after Mania, Punk interfered in the last few minutes of the match and helped Jey Uso beat Drew. It allowed the former Bloodline member to face Damian at Backlash 2024.

The Clash at the Castle interference split the people in two directions. While some felt it was brilliant from Punk to cost McIntyre the title, others felt it was a bit too much by then. No wonder why Drew was upset on Raw after Castle which led him to fake quitting WWE. On Smackdown that week, Drew took out Punk in his own backyard to take revenge.

Will CM Punk or AJ Lee cost Drew McIntyre?

While the job was not even half done, Drew set a major step towards regaining the world title. The star wrestler beat the duo of Sheamus and Ilja Dragunov to progress to the Money in the Bank ladder match. He will be up against the likes of Jey Uso, Chad Gable, Andrade, Carmelo Hayes, and LA Knight. Drew will start the match as a favourite to win the briefcase.

But there is a good possibility of either CM Punk or AJ Lee costing Drew the match. For the same reason, there is a sharp increase in security in Toronto. Along with Drew, Wade Barrett and others were upset by the breach of conduct from Punk. Triple H and Co would like to avoid such an instance this time around. If McIntyre wins the contract, it would be good for the business.
