Drew McIntyre winning the Money in the Bank contract might not be a bad decision. The favourite for winning the briefcase remains to be Jey Uso. However, Drew winning it could be beneficial for the story and his cashing it in on Damian Priest could be poetic. While Jey deserves to win the briefcase, Drew's win could make better sense. There are some reasons from the past that could justify the case.

Let us go back to WrestleMania XL. It was Damian who cashed in his contract on McIntyre at the biggest stage. Drew has been a frustrated man since then. He complained about how the briefcase cost him the world title twice. With that being said, Drew winning the world title after cashing it in on Damian could lead to a great poetic story.

It could be the perfect way in which Drew can regain the title he thinks was robbed of him. Even if Seth Rollins wins the title, it could be fitting for Drew to cash in his contract against him. After all, Drew won the WrestleMania match against the visionary after a long feud. Drew McIntyre pleaded with Seth to concentrate on their match for Mania.

Significance of Drew McIntyre winning Money in the Bank

As Rollins didn't, Drew was not too happy. His cashing in the contract against Rollins to win the title might be ironic. But that would be a great way of telling the story. In another scenario, there is a chance of either AJ Lee or CM Punk costing McIntyre the title given how personal he has gone in the last few weeks.

Even that could lead to a good scenario. But that could be a bit predictable. Punk has already cost McIntyre the title and a chance for the title shot quite regularly. To do something new, letting Drew win the title and then leading a match between him and Punk could be the better way of booking the duo. Drew winning the contract would be significant.
