The Undertaker spoke about the future of AEW and WWE. In a recent interview, the former WWE Superstar asked about the 'rivalry' between the two companies. Unlike other wrestlers, the Dead Man believed that the competition between AEW and WWE was good for both companies. However, The Phenom believed that there is no competition between AEW and WWE as of date and there could be one in future.
The WWE legend took a dig at Tony Khan and said that there is no true leader in the AEW locker room. While The Undertaker appreciated Khan for the person he is and for wishing AEW to be at the top of the Wrestling world, he felt that Tony did not have the acumen to take the company to new heights. In particular, Mark Callaway believed that competing against WWE wasn't Khan's cup of tea.
“I don’t think there’s a really true leader in the locker room. I have nothing against the man, but I don’t know if Tony [Khan] is the guy to run the company. His heart is in a good place and he wants to do something, but I don’t know if he has the acumen to run a wrestling company against the juggernaut that is the WWE," said The Undertaker as he felt WWE is way above AEW in the current scenario.
'I could be wrong' - The Undertaker
While Mark wished all the luck for AEW and Tony, he believe that the company has a long way to be competitive with WWE. The Deadman accepted that he could go wrong like he did in the past. The Undertaker laughed about one of his predictions in the past that had gone wrong. He wished AEW to get things together and evolve well as a roster. He felt it would be good for the wrestlers, the audience, and the fans.
"I could be wrong. There was that one other time I was wrong [laughs]. I hope they do get it together and we do have some competition. It’s better for the wrestlers. It’s better for the audience, the fans, everything," said the Undertaker.
