The Rock shared an update on the injury he sustained during the shooting of his upcoming movie 'The Smashing Machine'. The star wrestler is playing the role of the MMA Legend Matt Kerr in the movie, which requires a bit of training. His first look post from the movie went viral and in no way did he look like The Rock. However, bad news came out a few days ago.

It was revealed that Dwayne Johnson suffered an elbow injury while having a practice session for his preparation for the movie. The People's Champ took to his social media handle and gave an update regarding the injury. The Great One addressed the worried fans and said that his injury was not a serious one. The Rock wrote that his elbow was kissed by a 'boo-boo' monster.

The WWE Superstar confirmed that there was no extensive tissue damage and wrote that he sustained a ruptured bursa sac which he believed would heal eventually. Dwayne said that he suffered injuries worse than that and let the pain and tequila be his guide. Johnson wrote that he was back to work and thanked the fans for the love and support shown to him by the fans.

'Back to work, I'm good' - The Rock

The shoot for 'The Smashing Machine' is going at a good pace. The Rock concluded by saying that he is good and there is nothing to worry about. "Elbow got kissed by the 'boo-boo' monster. No extensive tissue damage. Ruptured bursa sac that will eventually heal. I’ve had much worse, and as always let pain – and tequila – be the guide," wrote Johnson on his social media handles.

"Back to work. (Thank you all for the love and healing/medicine recommendations ❤️‍ I'm good," added Dwayne as he asked for the medicine recommendations for his elbow injury. 'The Smashing Machine' is directed by Bennie Safdie who played a key role in 'Oppenheimer'. The movie has Emily Blunt in the lead role. It is likely to be released next year.
