The Rock was at the Toronto International Film Festival, where he revealed the reason behind his weight loss. He claimed that the transformation is due to his role in his upcoming project. The Final Boss is set to play the role of a 70-year-old man and there was a need for a weight loss for his character.

"Benny pitched me this after [Smashing Machine], and after about 45 minutes, this pitch ended and I said, 'I am your Chicken Man'. I still have a long ways to go. I'm so excited to get a chance to hopefully transform again like I was able to do in Smashing Machine. [It means] eating less chicken," said The Rock.

When might The Rock return to WWE?

With Dwayne Johnson being busy in Hollywood, there is an uncertainty over his WWE appearances. The Final Boss last showed up at the Elimination Chamber, where he was instrumental in John Cena's heel turn. However, he was never a part of Cena's negative arc, which led to criticism from the fans.
