The Miz to host SummerSlam, Jey Uso beats Carlito on WWE Raw

The Miz is confirmed as the host of SummerSlam 2024. In a backstage interview, Jackie Redmond was with the Awesome Truth duo where she confirmed the fact. The Miz claimed it was a honor for him to host the show in his hometown. Cleveland will be witnessing one of the biggest PLEs in recent times and The Miz will play a key role without having a match.

As The Miz spoke about his return to home, R Truth asked how he would host the event in his home. The partner of Truth tried to explain that the event wasn't hosted in his home, but in his home town. Truth wondered Los Angeles was the hometown of Miz. The 2-time Grand Slam champing clarified that LA was the place where he grew up and Cleveland was the place where he was born.

R Truth still wondered how The Miz would host the evenmt in his home. The star wrestler clarified that the event would be hosted in the stadium and not in his home. What followed it was the match between Carlito and Jey Uso. The Judgement Day wanted Carlito to take care of their business on his own, which was claimed not cool by him.

Bad night worsens for Carlito

Carlito delivered a decent performance in a match where there was not a lot for the duo to express. In a not-so-good match, Carlito showed why he still has a lot to offer as a wrestler. Earlier in the night, Carlito wasn't happy with the fact that his playstation was destroyed by Liv Morgan. He asked the Judgement Day to get it repaired.

Carlito brought some of his moves and tried to take out Uso. However, it was Jey who had the last laugh. As Carlito tried to eat apple and damage the Main Event Jey, the latter moved away from the impact and delivered a vicious spear. He pinned Carlito to pick up a win. It turned out to be a bad night for Carlito.
