Rikishi sent a warning to WWE in regard to Jey Uso. The former WWE Superstar claimed that Jey has been very good as a solo performer but has not gotten enough push in the company. He claimed WWE is not the only spot for Jey and added that AEW could potentially be an alternative if he wanted to get a major push as a solo performer.

Rikishi believed that AEW could push Jey more than WWE. "We already know the kid is so good. WWE ain’t the only spot. He could probably go to AEW if he wanted to write his own ticket, maybe more than what WWE’s making on him," said Rikishi in the interview. It has been over a year since Jey Uso went solo as a wrestler.

However, the star wrestler has yet to win any sort of gold as a solo wrestler. The closest he got was to get the Intercontinental Championship against Gunther. Outside of it, the star wrestler faced Damian Priest for the world title at Backlash 2024. He is one of the most 'over' wrestlers of the year so far. However, even a mid-card title seems a far fetch for the former Bloodline star.

Rikishi wants Jey Uso to take a break from WWE

Rikishi added that he wanted his son to take a bit of a break away from WWE. He felt the writers in the company did not know how to present him in a feud. He felt taking a bit of time away from the company could probably help both him and the creative team to think about it. The statement of Jey's father has gone viral on X, Instagram, and other social media platforms.

"I’m at this point where I just want to call my son, ‘Hey, go ahead and just take a break. Because obviously, the writers don’t know where to put you or where you can write something that’s right for the character of Jey Uso, The Yeet Man.'," said Rikishi in an interview recently.
