Rey Mysterio will be competing at WrestleMania for the thirteenth time in his career. This week on WWE Raw, Mysterio pushed for a match against El Grande Americano, also known as Chad Gable. Gable has been strutting around as a Luchador wrestler, and Mysterio told Adam Pearce that he needed to stop Gable from disparaging his culture and all that he has worked for in his career.
Pearce told Mysterio to name the venue, and the WWE Hall of Famer requested that the match be held later this month in Las Vegas. Out of respect, Pearce told Rey, he would grant the match and make it official. On this week's Raw, the LWO lost to El Grande Americano and American Made. Following that match, Mysterio had Pearce promise to do it.

Rey Mysterio appeared in the ringside for the LWO's bout with the Creeds and Grande Americano. The masked hero won the bout for his team by headbutting Dragon Lee and inserting a metal plate into his mask. Mysterio is determined to discipline the masked wrestler in Las Vegas after he is offended by Grande Americano's disrespect for the rich history of Lucha Libre. Adam Pearce determined the outcome of another WrestleMania match earlier this week.
Rey Mysterio made his debut in WrestleMania in 2003
In 2003, Mysterio made his debut at The Show of Shows by attempting to win the Cruiserweight Championship against Matt Hardy but losing. Other noteworthy Mania milestones during Mysterio's career include defeating his son Dominik at WrestleMania 37, defeating JBL in only 21 seconds at WrestleMania 25, and taking home the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 22. On April 19 and 20, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host WrestleMania. It is uncertain which day of WrestleMania the fight will take place, as there is currently no official date set. In 2025, WrestleMania 41 will be on April 19 and April 20.
