Randy Orton makes surprise return to Raw and challenges Gunther for World title at Bash in Berlin

Randy Orton returned to Monday Night Raw for the first time since his return at the Survivor Series 2023. The 14-time world champion addressed Gunther not beating him fairly at the King of the Ring 2024. Gunther will be taking on the Viper for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Bash in Berlin. The duo believed it could be the feud fans deserve.

Gunther was welcomed to the ring by Ludwig Kaiser after his massive win at SummerSlam. The Ring General looked back at some of his massive accomplishments on the main roster like being the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion, winning the King of the Ring, and becoming the world champion. The fans came up with the chants of "You deserve it" acknowledging the efforts of the star wrestler.

The Ring General asked the fans to watch what he would do with the world title. He felt there was a need to increase the prestige of the title and none better to do it than a legend like him. That was when Randy's music hit. The fans were surprised with it considering Randy Orton was drafted to Smackdown. He addressed Gunther's win at King of the Ring against him.

The Apex Predator claimed that Gunther did not beat him fair and square at the King of the Ring. Randy said that if not for him, Gunther would not be the world champion. He claimed that even Triple H knew about it. Randy hence came up with the proposal for a shot at the world title at Bash in Berlin. He felt it could be the modern-day rivalry fans deserved to see.

Gunther accepted that he did not beat Orton fair at the King of the Ring. After being reminded by Orton who claimed himself to be the legend killer, Gunther said that he would prove the voices heard on his head wrong by defending the world title at Bash in Berlin, thereby accepting the challenge of Randy for the World Heavyweight Championship.
