Randy Orton had an interaction with Cody Rhodes in a show named 'What do you wanna talk about' where he spoke about John Cena. As the American Nightmare asked The Viper for his take on John Cena's retirement tour, Randy wished to indeed face the leader of the Cenation Army for one last time. Orton claimed that he had no idea about Cena's announcement.

The 14-time world champion said he met John Cena before his announcement and felt he was in the arena as a casual visit. However, he claimed that only later he got to know about the dates of 30-40 days in 2025 which Cena could give from his end before he would retire. Orton felt he would love to face Cena in a big event like WrestleMania 41 which could be Cena's last in WWE.

'I think it’ll happen, it’s on the cards' - Randy Orton

Randy Orton claimed that the fans love the concept of nostalgia. He felt the old fans would remember their prime days and the rivalry shared by the duo in the period. Orton felt John would want it to happen organically and felt it could indeed happen. Randy will be challenging Gunther for the world title at Bash in Berlin.

"It was this amazing rivalry. To have that callback, that nostalgia concept, and to do it for the fans who I feel like they’d appreciate it, and we go out there and have some fun and tear the place down. I would love to do that, but I guess, according to John, we’re just gonna let it, you know, if it organically happens, it’ll happen, but I think it’ll happen. I think it’s on the cards," said Randy.
