Predicting winners of quarterfinal of 'King of the Ring' 2024 on Raw

In the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw, the quarterfinal matches of the King and Queen of the Ring are set to take place. In the first-round matches, several top stars on Raw claimed a win to progress to the second round. If and when the Superstars claim a win in the second round, they will progress to the third round which will be the semifinal.

Here are the matches which are scheduled to take place on Raw for the tournament and the ones who could end up winning them -

Gunther vs Kofi Kingston - Gunther took part in the main event last week for the first-round match against Sheamus. The two who share a bit of history delivered a great match that was gruelling. The Ring General had the better of the Celtic Warrior for the third time in a row. At the other end, Kofi Kingston will be hoping to challenge the Ring General.

The former World Champion replaced the injured Xavier Woods and took on Rey Mysterio in the first-round match in one of the live shows. The New Day member emerged victorious in the battle. The fact that Gunther managed to overcome someone like Sheamus, it should not be a difficult task for him to beat Kofi. He should progress to the semifinal.

Ilja Dragunov vs Jey Uso - The other match in the men's division, Jey Uso will be taking on Ilja Dragunov. The Main Event Jey replaced injured Drew McIntyre in the first round and defeated Finn Balor. On the other hand, Ilja Dragunov claimed a brilliant win after a great match with Ricochet. It gave a good idea to the fans in the main roster about the capabilities of Ilja.

Jey is heading toward his peak form as a solo wrestler. But the fans wish to see a semifinal match between Gunther and the Mad Dragon. Given their history in the NXT UK, it makes sense to book Ilja vs Gunther in the semifinal. Hence, there is a chance of the younger Uso losing the match. It might turn out to be a great match with mixed responses from fans.

Iyo Sky vs Shayna Baszler - Iyo Sky overcame the challenge of Natalya in the first round. The former WWE Women's Champion was impressive in the match as she defeated a veteran like Natalya without breaking a sweat. On the other hand, Shayna Baszler defeated Maxinne Dupri in one of the live events to enter the second round. Initially, Zelina Vega was scheduled to face Baszler in the match.

However, owinng to unavoidable circumstances, the defending champion had to make way for the Alpha Academy's Dupri. In the quarterfinal, Sky will have a big advantage over Baszler given her great run in the last 7-8 months. The Damage Control member is one of the best in-ring performers in the women's division. She must be able to progress to the semifinal.

Lyra Valkyria vs Zoey Stark - Lyra Valkyria overcame the challenge of Dakota Kai in the first round of the Queen of the Ring on Raw. On her debut on the Red brand, the former NXT star put on a show and defeated the Damage Control Member. On the other hand, Zoey Stark overcame the challenge of Ivy Nile. The match between the two of them was not that impressive.

The fans would love to see a good match between the two former NXT Superstars. While Stark had a brilliant run on Raw last year, Lyra has been the better of the two in 2024. She was a dominant champion in NXT and delivered great in-ring work. Given the momentum and the in-ring abilities, Lyra should be able to overcome the challenge of Stark.
