Carmella opened up on her WWE exit in a recent podcast with Barely Famous Podcast. The former world champion claimed she was punished for being pregnant. Carmella addressed the fact that her husband Corey Graves had a job despite him being a dad. She felt it was a sh**ty way for her career to come to an end.

Carmella felt there was a need for bold women like her to talk about things that aren't talked about by everyone. She questioned the WWE management if she was removed from the roster for being a pregnant woman. She claimed that if it was the reason, it was a sh**ty way to end her 12-year career with WWE.

Corey Graves is Carmella's husband, who is a commentator in WWE. Carmella added that her husband had a job despite being a dad. The former WWE Superstar felt everyone ghosted her and added she got a call that claimed her contract was up in 10 days. Carmella wondered about her future.

"Corey Graves still has a job. We had a kid, and he had a job, but I didn't. I mean, I guess fast forward until a few weeks ago, and I got a call saying that my contract was up in ten days. [Everyone] ghosted. Completely ghosted. What if this is the end of my career? What am I doing with my life? What do I have to offer? Why wasn't I given an opportunity somewhere else?" wondered Carmella.
The star wrestler felt she was punished for being pregnant. She felt there wasn't a need for her to be in a place like WWE that did not respect her. Carmella asked why women had to choose one between their career and families.
"I feel like I'm being punished because I had a baby. Why would you want to be somewhere that doesn't want you? I wish more for women in general and moms and especially athletes. You shouldn't have to choose one. Why can't you have both?" asked Carmella.
