Mickie James was on Chris Van Vliet's Show, where she opened up on her 'stalker' story. The TNA Hall of Famer claimed that she had pitched it for Lita, which eventually featured Trish Stratus. Mickie claimed that her program with Stratus led to both of them becoming best friends.

"I was friends with Lita, and I felt that she was really a mentor to me in a lot of ways. She looked out for me, and fought for me, even in getting my job. I asked her if it was okay if I pitched it with her in mind," Mickie said on Chris Van Vliet's podcast.

James revealed that her story was pitched for Lita, which was shelved by Vince for the time being. "I was taking acting classes in OVW and doing all that stuff on the side, to just kind of get my range down. So, I pitched it with Amy [Lita], and then they loved it, and they really liked the idea," Mickie added.

"Vince was like 'Yeah, but we're going to do it with Trish.'," - Mickie James

She then revealed that the former WWE Chairman asked Mickie and Trish to tell the story. Mickie noted that she didn't know Trish in person till then. However, she added that both of them became best friends. Mickie regarded the WWE Hall of Famer to be pleasant and an amazing human being.

"Vince was like 'Yeah, but we're going to do it with Trish.' And I was like [gasp], I didn't know Trish... I'd met her, and she was always pleasant and she was always amazing...Never really had a full conversation with it. The way she embraced it and embraced me? We're still best friends," Mickie added in her statement.
