Drew McIntyre has given fresh hints about his WWE future. In a recent interview with Wrestling Republic, the former champion made it clear that his main goal is still the world title.
“I just keep going for the world title and then I keep getting taken right off here and off here and off here. All I want is my precious — to get that title run in front of live fans back on SmackDown where it’s a WWE Championship. The title I held during the pandemic the entire time. The title I won… the guy that’s got it — the one I want to beat for it — Cody Rhodes,” McIntyre said.

Many fans, along with McIntyre himself, expected him to get a world title shot at the start of this season. But WWE management did not give him that opportunity.
"85% of the roster don’t look like wrestlers" - McIntyre
In another interview with West Sport, McIntyre also shared strong views about the current WWE roster. He was critical of how a large portion of wrestlers look and present themselves.
“I’ve said it recently… 85% of the roster don’t look like wrestlers,” he stated. “I have a lot of friends that tune into Netflix for the first time… and, like, ‘wait a minute, I could beat up this guy. My kid could probably beat up this guy.’ So some of our roster need to dial it in. Maybe start looking like athletes.”

He added that while not everyone needs to look like him, every wrestler must have something unique to grab attention.
“I’m not saying you all have to look like Drew McIntyre, because you’re not gonna, but at least think of something that makes you stand out. You got to grab people’s attention right away… You could be five foot eight and just have something about you that makes you stand out. Look at Rey Mysterio is a superhero… You gotta find your thing that makes you stand out,” McIntyre further added.
