Jimmy Hart, Rich Hering, and Tito Santana, all Hall of Famers, brought a touch of nostalgia to the ringside of the thrilling WWE Women's World Championship bout. Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane, colleagues from Damage CTRL, accompanied Iyo Sky as she entered first, but they soon left backstage, leaving Sky to take against Liv Morgan alone.
Liv Morgan also made the decision to go to the ring by himself, brought along by Raquel Rodriguez and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. The anticipation was expertly increased by the retro-style multimedia package that highlighted the rivalry between the two winners. Liv Morgan knocked Sky down as soon as the bell rang, but Sky's athleticism was evident when she got up and confronted Morgan. Morgan was able to counter Sky's handspring moves with a dropkick and a running back elbow.
But Sky swiftly reversed the trend with a flapjack for a near fall and her own dropkick. Morgan struggled to recover as the match went to a break after IYO Sky controlled the first few minutes with a spectacular Asai Moonsault to the outside. Sky had regained control and was hitting sharp dropkicks and double stomps.

Rhea Ripley made an appearance during Liv Morgan win
She nearly fell after her springboard missile dropkick, but Morgan battled back with a backstabber and an incredible codebreaker off the second rope for a tight two-count. As Sky displayed her technical skill and delivered three German Suplexes the third of which included a stunning bridging pin attempt the excitement only grew.
Following a fierce back-and-forth bout, Liv Morgan delivered a flawless Oblivion to secure a clean pinfall. After she put her feet up and performed her Over The Moonsault flawlessly, Morgan managed to pull this off. The celebration for Liv Morgan were short-lived, as Rhea Ripley made an appearance.
Standing behind Morgan, she gazed intently into her eyes as well as the WWE Women's World Title. Clearly, they have unresolved business. Morgan may be injured, but she was the champion when she exited the competition. Michael Cole mentioned that she could have fractured her nose during the bout as a result of IYO Sky kneeing her in the face.
