Logan Paul takes unexpected retirement from WWE

There is some controversy around Logan Paul. Paul is a YouTuber, influencer, and businessman who is most known for his "Impulsive" podcast, Prime energy drink, and the notorious Lunchly food packages that he co-created with Mr. Beast and KSI. Nevertheless, one thing is certain: Logan Paul is an incredibly skilled wrestler.

Paul, one of the most popular celebrities to ever become a professional wrestler, has demonstrated great athleticism and good promotional abilities while bringing his real-life fire to the ring. Since SummerSlam 2024, when he lost the WWE United States Championship to LA Knight, Paul has not appeared on WWE television. Additionally, Paul himself says that fans won't be able to watch him compete anytime soon.

In a recent "Impulsive" podcast episode, Paul talked candidly about his involvement with the WWE and the differences between viewing matches live and on TV. When asked if he would be attending WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Paul unexpectedly disclosed that he had retired from professional wrestling. "Come on, I'm retired," Paul said. "I'm a dad, bro." His co-host Mike Majlak quickly jumped in to say that he was "taking time off."

Despite the unexpectedly informal declaration, Paul most likely won't ever make a comeback to the WWE. This is actually the exact reverse of what Paul stated during the WWE media event for Netflix. At WrestleMania 38, Paul and The Miz defeated Rey and Dominik Mysterio, and he looked at home.

Paul's career would include several high-profile events, including the Money in the Bank Ladder match in 2023, a match against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at King and Queen of the Ring 2024, and a challenge to Roman Reigns for the WWE Title/WWE Universal Title at Crown Jewel 2022. 

At Crown Jewel 2023, Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio to win the US Championship, which stands as his most famous run. Paul would defend the title three times and held it for 273 days. He beat Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in WrestleMania XL after first defeating Owens at Royal Rumble 2024. At SummerSlam 2024, he ultimately lost the crown to LA Knight.
