On the latest episode of Raw, the Ring General beat the Leader of MFTs in a tough encounter. On the other hand, Knight claimed probably one of the biggest wins of his career, as he beat Jey. Both had a faceoff before their match on the upcoming episode of SmackDown.

With Cena, Gunther does not have any history. On the other hand, Knight has been his teammate in 2023 during their tag team match against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. However, reports claim that Gunther has been chosen as Cena's final opponent, which would mean him winning the Last Time is Now Tournament.
Gunther and LA Knight's Road to The Last Time is Now Tournament's final
In his first round matchup, the Imperium star beat Je'Von Evans in an absolute classic. It wasn't any different in his Quarterfinal matchup either, as Gunther beat Carmelo Hayes. He overcame Solo in the semifinal to make it to the final. All of Gunther's matches in the tournament have been great.

LA Knight overcame a returning Zack Ryder, aka Matt Cardona, to make it to the Quarterfinals. He faced The Miz in the following round and beat him to make it to the semifinals. The Megastar beat Jey to qualify for the final and book a match against Gunther to face John Cena at SNME on Dec 13.
