The King of the Ring matches for the first round of 2024 on Smackdown have been announced. In the men's division, some of the best wrestlers will be in action. The likes of Randy Orton, AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight, Santos Escobar, Bobby Lashley, and Tama Tonga will be in action. In the upcoming episode of Friday Night Smackdown, the matches are set to take place.

AJ Styles will take on Randy Orton in one of the most anticipated battles. It will be the first appearance of Randy Orton since he last took part in the tournament in 2006. Back then, he lost to Kurt Angle in the first round. On the other hand, AJ will be making his debut in the tournament. The phenomenal one delivered a great match in the main event of Backlash 2024 against Cody Rhodes.

Baron Corbin and Carmelo Hayes will be up against each other in the first round. Both wrestlers were recently drafted to the main roster after being a part of NXT in the last few years. They would be hoping to make an impact in the tournament by performing well. While it is the maiden tournament for Hayes, Corbin won the tournament in 2019 against Chad Gable.

LA Knight will be taking on Santos Escobar in the first round. Both of them recently faced on Smackdown in a one-on-one battle. The duo would be hoping to progress to the quarterfinal by giving a good performance. It will be their maiden appearance in the tournament. Bobby Lashley will be up against Tama Tonga in the first round.

Much like Santos Escobar and Knight, it will be the maiden appearance of Tonga in the tournament. He will be the only participant from the Bloodline in the tournament and will be hoping to make the family proud. Lashley was the runner-up in 2006 when he lost the Booker T. All eyes will be on him as the Almighty has not won a lot in recent times.
