The Great Khali appeared during the inaugural match of the Kho Kho World Cup between India and Nepal. The WWE Hall of Famer was among the guests and lit up the event with his presence. India emerged victorious against Nepal by 42-37 and became the first team to win a match in the Kho Kho World Cup.
The Great Khali took to Instagram and posted images of him attending the event. He met some fans and posed for selfies and photographs. Khali was in the stadium for the national anthem and the opening ceremony. Along with the WWE Hall of Famer, the Indian Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar attended the event and made it memorable.
India scripted history in New Delhi by becoming the first-ever team to win a Kho Kho World Cup match. The home side beat Nepal in a thrilling match by 42-37 after the end of both innings. Despite not delivering their best performance, India overcame the challenge of the visiting side.
The Great Khali's public appearances
The Great Khali has been attending many such prestigious events in the last few years. The star wrestler was invited during the first match of the ODI World Cup 2023 between New Zealand and England. He met Rohit Sharma and other popular cricketers and shared their meetings with fans on Instagram. Khali also showed up in the WWE live event in Hyderabad.
The star wrestler got a chance to meet some of his old friends like John Cena, Natalya, and others. Since then, Khali has not been associated with WWE. However, he has been regularly attending wrestling matches in India. Khali attended a lot of shows in CWE, a wrestling company founded by himself.
The mighty wrestler has not officially retired from Wrestling. However, he is not at his physical best to wrestle. Fans, though, are wishing to see him in the ring at least once before he bids adieu. There could be a chance of the WWE Hall of Famer showing up at some special events soon.
