Tomasso Ciampa tried to deliver an RKO out of nowhere to Kevin Owens backstage during Smackdown. As Randy Orton wasn't in the arena, the tag team champion thought to change the target. Tomasso was stopped midway by Kevin who came up with emotional damage. In the process, he delivered a low blow to Ciampa and showed how it's being done.
Randy Orton was taken out by The Bloodline on Smackdown a couple of weeks back. Orton wasn't in the arena to recover from the attack. Ciampa couldn't try to deliver an RKO out of nowhere to the Viper for the same reason. Instead, he chose Kevin, who has been Randy's tag partner in the last few months, as the target. Johhny Gargano thought it wasn't a good idea.

The DIY member said to his tag partner that it would be a good way to send a message to the Apex Predator. As usual, Ciampa screamed his way out and ran towards Owens. But the former world champion recognized the threat of Ciampa and stopped him midway. Kevin came up with an emotional blackmail and asked why Ciampa attempted to do it on him who had to go through a lot in the last few weeks.
Tomasso Ciampa learns lesson the hard way
Kevin Owens said that his mother was hospitalized and he was weak hoping to see her recover. Tomasso understood his mistake and put his head down. Kevin added that Tomasso wasn't using the right strategy to deliver an RKO to Randy out of nowhere. He felt that screaming his lungs to let Randy Orton know he would attack wouldn't take him anywhere.
Kevin added that one must deliver an RKO to Randy without his knowing. And then Owens demonstrated it by delivering a low blow to Ciampa out of nowhere. He claimed that delivering an RKO to Randy out of nowhere had to be done in a similar way when he did not expect it. Tomasso was in pain but understood what it takes to have the laugh over the 14-time world champion.
