John Cena took to X and confirmed that December 13, 2025, will mark his retirement as an active wrestler, as announced by him at the Money in the Bank 2024. The veteran wanted everyone to know that he has no intentions of not living by his word and that his decision will not change in the future.

Cena noted that he announced 2025 as his last year as an active wrestler during his appearance at the Money in the Bank 2014. The star wrestler accepted that he is not a perfect man but wanted to be a man of his word. He then regarded himself to be beyond grateful for whatever WWE has given him.

"Despite any speculation or rumors, on July 6, 2024 I announced I would retire from WWE in ring participation. I am far from perfect but strive to be a person whose word has value. 12/13/25 will be my final match. I am beyond grateful for every moment WWE has given me. I am excited for 12/13 & look forward to seeing all of you one last time," Cena wrote on X.

All dates left in John Cena's retirement tour

The 17-time world champion has officially 4 days left in his retirement tour. A couple of them are for Raw before the Survivor Series. There is a possibility of these shows having a buildup to his match against Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship.

His penultimate appearance as an active wrestler will be at the Survivor Series. Cena's final WWE match will be on Saturday Night's Main Event in Washington DC on December 13. Reports claim that several political figures, including Donald Trump, are likely to be in attendance.
