John Cena showed up on Chris Van Vliet's podcast, where he was asked about The Rock's controversial exit from his heel run . After the Elimination Chamber 2025, The Final Boss did not show up on despite joining forces with Cena and Travis Scott. The veteran felt it does not matter anymore as such scenarios are now a part of 'What ifs'.
In the podcast, Cena felt such discussions lead to nowhere, as it would not change what has already transpired. He felt it would be worthy to discuss about people who are left. He hence felt it was up to him and Cody Rhodes to pivot and ensure to get the job done at WrestleMania.

"Who cares? It doesn’t matter. We can talk about what could have been until the cows come home. And I think that’s what’s great about the people who are left standing. Certainly me and Cody. What’s the change? this? All right, let’s go," Cena said in the podcast.
"If Brock did’t leave for the NFL, there’s no John Cena," - John Cena
John added that he never looks back and wishes to change certain things. He felt such a thinking could lead to one wondering what would have happened to him if Brock Lesnar had not left for NFL. He hence felt it's not ideal to think about things that have already transpired, which could not be changed.

"I don’t dwell for one second on what could have been, because what could have been is Brock doesn’t leave for the NFL and there’s no John Cena. Could there be anything? That’s the thing that sucks about what could have been, it’s not what it is," Cena added.
