John Cena felt dejected and emotional on his way back to the locker room after beating Randy Orton to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash 2025. After hitting Randy with a low blow and with the title to defend his title, Cena was sent off with the chants of "Thank You Cena," which led him to rethink his strategy.

The match between Randy and Cena was a banger and was one of the best in 2025. There were multiple kick-outs between the finishers of each other. Cena gave his best match in a long time by taking multiple Attitude Adjustments and RKOs. Fans were invested in the match well and appreciated the veterans for their efforts.

The referees suffered the pain and were unconscious during the match on multiple occasions. It indirectly cost Randy his 15th world title. Cena, being the heel, capitalized on the momentum with some unexpected help from R Truth. He delivered a low blow and hit Randy with the title to pin him and claim a win.

Will John Cena become a baby face soon?

After their match, John took the mic and took a dig at the fans. He claimed to need none of their support to be the last real champion. On his way back to the locker room, Cena felt something strange and returned to the ring to felt dejected and got emotional.

He kept the title on the ring and wondered if his strategy in the retirement tour was right. As the fans realized it was his last appearance in St. Louis, they gave him his flowers with the chants of "Thank You Cena." The 17-time world champion had tears in his eyes and seemed to be in regret.

John took the belt and returned to the locker room while he wiped the tears from his eyes. Fans felt it could be the beginning of his return to being the Babyface.
