WWE Backlash 2024 was one of the company's most successful premium live events. This year's Backlash is the first Backlash PLE outside of North America, as well as the first PPV in France. The exhibition was the largest entryway to any Backlash arena event in the company's history. There were five matches in total, and each one was more anticipated than the last, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

There was a championship change, a quick change in the stipulation, a surprise debut, and many more events that night. According to reports, a WWE referee created history at Backlash 2024 in France.

Jessika Carr created history at Backlash 2024 when she refereed the world title match's main event as the first female referee ever. Carr officiated the main event match between Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles for the Undisputed WWE Championship, which Rhodes prevailed in.

Carr's professionalism and skill were on full show in the exciting main event, as she ensured that Rhodes and Styles competed fairly and objectively. Carr's essential involvement in monitoring the event emphasized WWE's growth and inclusion as Cody Rhodes emerged winner, capturing the championship in a dramatic clash.

Jessika Carr is the first referee to get in main roster

Jessika Carr became the first woman to referee a WWE event in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel 2021, officiating the King of the Ring finals, which were won by Xavier Woods. She was also the official for Edge vs. Seth Rollins' Hell in a Cell bout. She is also the first referee to be called into the main roster.

It shows that the Women's Revolution is happening not just on the women's roster, but also among the women's authorities. This also suggests that we may see a large number of female referees working in significant matches in forthcoming shows such as TV programs, live events, and PLEs.
