Jerry Lawler is all set to part ways with WWE. The latest reports have claimed that the popular commentator will no longer be a part of the panel of commentary. It marks an end to the illustrious collaboration of 'The King' with the Stanford-based company for over 30 years. The maiden contract between Jerry and the top wrestling company took place in late 1992.

Since then, Lawler has been one of the best commentators in the company. However, it looks like WWE has decided to part ways with Jerry. The popular commentator's contract with WWE came to an end in the last few months. Since then, a lot of reports have claimed about his future in the commentary. Lawler last commented in November 2023 in one of the NXT episodes.

In August 2023, Lawler commented in a live show in Memphis as Raw returned to the city. Since then, he has not been an active commentator. Lawler suffered a major stroke which led to him commentating less. WWE in the new era under Triple H has been doing a lot of good things. It is being claimed that Jerry unfortunately cannot be a part of the commentary panel.

Jerry Lawler to not commentate on AEW

The reason behind the exclusion is the stroke Jerry sustained. More importantly, Lawler seems to be disinterested himself, as the reports claim that he is now following wrestling anymore. Some reports claimed that Lawler could potentially join AEW as the commentator where his good friend Jim Ross is a commentator. However, the current report has touched upon it to nullify the possibility.

Jerry is neither going to be a part of AEW. Reports claim that the former WWE commentator is not a follower of AEW and is not interested in following any form of Wrestling. While Lawler seems to be doing well in terms of his health front, there are still some side effects due to the stroke. Hence, it is unlikely for him to join the commentary panel anytime soon, definitely not in WWE.
