WATCH: Jacob Fatu claims United States Championship on his WrestleMania debut

Jacob Fatu became one of the few wrestlers to claim gold on his WrestleMania debut. The Samoan Werewolf overcame LA Knight and became the new United States Champion. Fatu successfully delivered back-to-back Moon Saults and pinned Knight to claim a win. Triple H took to X and wished the Bloodline star on his first major win of his career.

The match between Fatu and Knight was probably the best of the night before the Main Event. Jacob had a special entrance as he wore the mask of a Werewolf and was hyped up by Solo Sikoa on his way to the ring. Knight was unbothered, who just wanted to get his job done by defending his title at the grandest stage.

The match started with the domination from Fatu, who wanted to give Knight no chance. A series of suplexes tired Knight out. The 2-time US Champion countered Fatu's pump-up Samoan drop with an Arm-drag and returned to the match. He went for an Elbow drop and tried to pin Jacob Fatu, who kicked out at 2.

As Knight delivered back-to-back belly-to-belly suplexes, Jacob tried to recover by moving into one of the corners of the ring. He followed it up with a Swanton, only for Knight to kick out. Fatu decided to end the match and went for a Moon Sault. Knight came up with an incredible reversal with a Mid-air BFT.

But the monster in Jacob refused to give up, as he kicked out at two. Knight could not believe his eyes and was desperate to beat Fatu at all costs. However, the Bloodline star was equally determined and delivered back-to-back Moon Saults. He went for a pinfall and successfully claimed a win to become the new US Champion.

Fatu roared as he became the US Champion and had one of the biggest highs of his career. Triple H took to X and congratulated the emerging star on his first major WrestleMania win. Hunter posted an image with Fatu and wrote, "DESTROYER and new United States Champion at #WrestleMania."
