Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux have reportedly been released by WWE, as they aren't a part of the active roster. The Wrestling couple had a 3-year contract with WWE from August 2022 to August 2025. Karrion was one of the top 5 merchandise sellers since WrestleMania 41 and was heavily promoted in the WWE shows.

Karrion did not have much screen time after the Authors of Pain duo was released, leading to the end of the Final Testament. He and Scarlett mostly worked in the backstage promos, but did a great job in them. Fans bought what they sold and got behind them. However, it could not earn Kross a WrestleMania appearance.

After the big PLE, Kross took a shot with a fiery promo, which made the fans believe more in him, slowly leading to the 'We Want Kross' chants. Kross' market exploded due to his appeal, and he became one of the top 5 merchandise sellers. WWE had no option but to insert him into some major storylines.

Why Karrion Kross' WWE exit could be a part of the storyline?

As a result, Kross earned a match against Sami at the Night of Champions and SummerSlam. His SummerSlam match against Zayn turned out to be his last, as he hasn't shown up since then. There's a good chance of his absence being a part of the storyline, much like the R-Truth release saga.
