John Cena made a massive announcement at the Money in the Bank 2024 that he will be retiring from the company soon. In the press conference, Cena confirmed that the 2025 season would be his last in the ring. His retirement tour is expected to be one of the best for a wrestler. A lot of wrestlers have expressed their wish to face the star wrestler one last time.

Randy Orton and CM Punk have expressed to face Cena in different circumstances. The Royal Rumble 2024 is likely to be the beginning of the end for Cena. He is likely to take part in the Battle Royal. There is a chance of him winning the Men's Rumble to challenge the world champion. However, he might also be in the Elimination Chamber as claimed by himself.

Hence, Cena might finish in the top 3 in the Royal Rumble. By then, Randy would probably have become world champion by beating Cody Rhodes. Cena is likely to win the Elimination Chamber 2025 to challenge Orton at WrestleMania 41 in the main event. It will be the dream match for the fans and both wrestlers. Neither of them has faced each other in a WrestleMania main event.

Is a long World Championship on the cards?

John might dethrone the Viper to become a record 17-time world champion. At different PLEs like Clash at the Castle, King of the Ring, and Backlash, Cena might defend the title against some emerging talents like Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov, Jey Uso, Andrade, Carmeo Layes, LA Knight, and others. In the Money in the Bank, he could face a big wrestler like Kevin Owens or AJ Styles.

Both of them had a feud with Cena in the mid-2010s. The best way to book his Summerslam would be to have Brock Lesnar or The Rock return to challenge him. They might or not win the belt from him but could lead to a brief feud until Fastlane or the Crown Jewel. His retirement match could ideally be against CM Punk in the Survivor Series where he would lose.
