HOOK expected to explore free agency when his AEW contract expires this year, interest from WWE

Top AEW star Hook is reported to depart from the company later in the year. Taz was well-known for his technical wrestling and was a former ECW World Champion. In addition to this, he worked as a colour commentator for AEW and had a brief stint as a WWE wrestler.

Hook is one of the squad's best young players. However, many have taken notice of his cool attitude and brutal style of wrestling. Under the guidance of his father, Taz, the FTW Champion teamed up with Poewrhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks as he joined AEW in November 2020. Furthermore, he has won numerous fights throughout the years through pure accuracy and technical prowess.

The 24-year-old star's contract expires later this year. Additionally, it was reported that he showed interest in "exploring options," which suggests he may not be continuing with the Jacksonville-based promotion. Meanwhile, Taz's son has a relationship with Chris Jericho, who is serving as the rising star's tutor. But the latest Dynamite version shows boundaries between the genius and the master.

Meanwhile, Taz and RVD partnered in ECW. Recently,  Mr. PPV spoke about his conversations with the son of the great. RVD revealed in an exclusive interview with Wrestling that the reigning FTW Champion has a pleasant attitude behind the scenes.

"Man, Hook, he's a good kid. I mean, the first thing to notice about him was that he was Taz's kid. So I was like, oh cool, you know? 'I worked with your dad. I'm working with you, and that's cool.' You know I've been doing it for generations and generations. (...) The more I'm around him, it's like man, what's not to like? He's like a likeable kid, and then obviously he's a sweeter kid in the back, and then when he's out there," RVD said as being quoted by SESCOOPS.
