The Italian club built suspense with a teaser video showing The Undertaker’s signature shadow and attire, hinting at a dramatic reveal. Hours later, fans were treated to the full visual as The Undertaker posed in the sleek black kit, accentuated with a black bandana and the club’s distinct gold-trimmed details.

In an official statement, Genoa expressed excitement about collaborating with the wrestling icon, stating that the involvement of “the wrestling champion Undertaker” added depth to their “entertainment, music, arts, and sports genres.” Calling him a figure “in the Olympus of ring legends,” the club honoured The Undertaker’s immense legacy and cross-generational appeal, aligning perfectly with the bold and iconic aesthetic of the new kit.

Golden Dark Side of Genoa!

This reveal builds on the club's “Golden Dark Side of Genoa” theme, which it launched in December last year. The campaign taps into Genoa’s rich history while adding a modern flair through celebrity partnerships. Last season, British pop star Rita Ora kicked off the trend by modelling the club’s 130th-anniversary gold kit, and The Undertaker’s involvement takes the campaign to new heights.

Designed in all-black with intricate gold detailing around the badge, sponsor, and player names, the new kit is meant to embody power, elegance, and a hint of darkness. This look resonates with The Undertaker’s persona. This kit marks a significant moment for Genoa, celebrating its status as Italy’s oldest football club, with roots dating back to 1893. Despite the club’s longstanding legacy, including nine Italian Championship titles, Genoa has faced a challenging season, standing at 17th in the league.

The reveal also comes just after Genoa acquires Italian striker Mario Balotelli, adding excitement as they work to improve their standing. As they gear up to bring the “Golden Dark Side” to Serie A, Genoa fans now have an unforgettable look to rally behind, symbolized by one of wrestling’s most iconic figures.
