The latest episode of WWE NXT attracted higher TV ratings and viewership than AEW's Dynamite. Unlike the regular Tuesday nights, NXT happened on Wednesday night due to the US Presidential elections. In the clash between WWE's developmental brand and AEW's premier show, it was WWE's show which had the upper hand in terms of viewership and TV ratings.
According to the sources, NXT had 619000 viewers in the head-to-head programming against AEW Dynamite. The latter had about 523000 viewers in the period. While NXT had 0.17 ratings in the P18-49 period, Dynamite had 0.16 ratings in the same period. NXT had the upper hand when it collided with Dynamite.
The fans recognized the numbers and felt it was a bit surprising. It is worth noting that NXT is the developmental brand of WWE. On the other hand, Dynamite is a Raw-level programming from AEW. Ideally, Dynamite should have had more ratings in that sense. It showed how WWE has made great inroads in capturing a huge number of audience.

The latest episode of NXT was one of its kind, as it took place in the ECW 2300 arena. Some of the former ECW stars like Rob Van Dam, Rhyno, Dawn Marie, and Nunzio were in the show. Hence, it was claimed that the fans naturally tuned in to the show.
On the other hand, Dynamite featured some great segments like the one between the Hurt Syndicate and Swerve Strickland. However, many felt the reason behind the NXT's viewership was its stacked women's roster. The likes of Zaria, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and the Fatal Influence were all in the same ring.
It was a great night to be a Wrestling fan. Both Dynamite and NXT delivered good episodes to the fans. Some pointed out that the ratings and viewership showed why WWE is the top Wrestling company in the world. They felt AEW had a long way to go to compete against the Stamford-based company.
