WATCH: Fans chant 'Tony fumbled' as Ricky Saints claims his maiden win on WWE NXT

WWE fans took a dig at Tony Khan and chanted "Tony Fumbled" as Ricky Saints picked up his maiden win on WWE NXT. Saints and Je'Von Evans beat Ethan Page and Wes Lee in the tag team match which was Ricky's debut as an in-ring wrestler in WWE. Ricky pinned Wes and claimed a win for his team.

Everything about the chants had to do with how Tony treated Ricky in the last few months on AEW. Despite being one of the best wrestlers in the world, Ricky was not given enough screen time. As his contract was coming to an end, WWE approached Saints for a potential multi-year deal. The dream became a reality as Ricky showed up on WWE NXT.

Ricky found NXT to be a great place as the fans welcomed him with both arms wide open. Last week on WWE NXT, Ricky Starks' name was officially changed to Ricky Saints in WWE. While signing the contract with Ava, he was confronted by Wes Lee and Ethan Page. 

Ricky Saints wins his maiden WWE NXT match

As Je'Von has been going through a feud with Ethan who had a confrontation with both Evans and Saints, a tag team match was announced by Ava. Wes and Page were up against Saints and Evans on WWE NXT in a tag team match on the Main Event of the night.

The match was brilliant and the fans were impressed by the in-ring skills of the latest member of the roster. During the match, Evans and Ethan had a brawl and went after each other through the crowd and headed towards the locker room. It indirectly became a one-on-one match with Saints having an advantage over Wes.

Despite the interference from Lee's mates, Ricky successfully claimed a win via pinfall. Throughout the match, the chants of "Tony Fumbled" were heard as the WWE fans made sure they were heard about their opinion on Tony releasing Saints. Ricky ended the night by holding one of the fans' posters having his name.
