Corey Graves was removed from the commentary box on WWE NXT for his tweet on X which indirectly addressed his removal from the main roster commentary. As Pat McAfee returned to WWE Raw and was paired with Michael Cole, Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore were moved to WWE Smackdown. Graves was sent to WWE NXT which reportedly didn't go well with him.

Corey addressed his disappointment on the same with a tweet on X. In the post, he wrote "Imagine chasing your dream. Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream. Then you dedicate your life to something “dream adjacent” and being pretty f***ing awesome at it."

The post further claimed that he was being removed from the main roster commentary for not being famous enough, directly pointing at Pat McAfee. "And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, being told you’re not famous enough for your own job. Just in case you’ve wondered where I’ve been," added Corey in his statement.

His tweet went viral on social media and the fans started to wonder if it was a genuine disappointment or had anything to do with his in-ring return. While many thought it might be a work, Corey's brother Sam Adonis took to X and confirmed that it was not a work.

Corey also posted on X saying he had a lot to say on NXT and asked the fans to not miss the show. "I’ve got a lot to say. Don’t miss WWE NXT tonight on The CW TONIGHT," wrote Graves on X. Both his posts have been deleted after being removed from the commentary box.

Fans felt him being removed from the commentary box is a loss for the company as they regarded him to be one of the best commentators of the last decade or so. They hoped WWE and Corey to resolve issue among themselves and come to a common stand to work together.
