This coming weekend, Cody Rhodes, the undisputed WWE Champion, has an unexpected engagement that has nothing to do with professional wrestling. Leaving the wrestling mat, Cody Rhodes is into the limelight of collegiate football. ESPN has revealed that this Saturday, November 16th, as the Georgia Bulldogs get ready to play the Tennessee Volunteers, The American Nightmare himself will be the special guest picker on ESPN College GameDay. Rhodes will join the panel in Athens, Georgia, and provide his sports knowledge and passion to the program.

ESPN College GameDay announced via social media this afternoon that Cody Rhodes of the WWE will be a guest picker for Saturday's schedule of games. Rhodes is expected to add a little wrestling flare to the popular college football program by bringing his charm and enthusiasm to the choices.

The 12th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs are a team that the American Nightmare is known to support. Later that night in primetime, they will take on the Tennessee Volunteers, who are rated seventh. Cody Rhodes will probably spend a lot of time chatting with Pat McAfee, a former WWE commentator who is expected to rejoin the organization sometime in 2025.

Cody Rhodes is currently the WWE Champion

Rhodes is not the first member of the WWE to appear on the GameDay stage. Fans adore the crossover appeal between college football and wrestling, as seen by Sheamus' previous visit as a guest picker. Regular College GameDay commentator Pat McAfee, who has moved fluidly between his WWE and football commentary jobs, is also on the program. Bianca Belair was a guest picker at a 2022 game between her alma university and Florida.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Roman Reigns Goldberg, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Jerry "The King" Lawler are among the other WWE celebrities who will be featured at the event. Rhodes' visit on College GameDay is especially exciting for both football fans and WWE fans since Georgia is gearing up for a tough matchup versus Tennessee. Cody Rhodes, the WWE champion since April's WrestleMania 40, has won the first-ever Crown Jewel Championship.
