Drew McIntyre lost an opportunity to face CM Punk at SummerSlam and remained suspended from Monday Night Raw. The Scottish Warrior was asked by Adam Pearce to apologize to the referees whom he attacked in the post-match talk at the Money in the Bank. As Drew denied to apologize, Pearce dismissed the SummerSlam match between Drew and Punk.
Last week on Raw, CM Punk asked Pearce to allow Drew to be on the roster. He claimed it would be a good chance for him to teach McIntyre a lesson. As Pearce welcomed Drew back to Raw without his will, he claimed the match between him and Punk was nearly a reality. But Adam had a condition. Pearce wanted Drew to apologize to the referees for his violence.
The Raw GM claimed the referees put their body on line to stop him from doing insane things at the Money in the Bank and deserved all the respect for it. Adam Pearce said if Drew wasn't ready to apologize, his shot at Punk wasn't a possibility. The fans chanted "Say you're sorry" as Drew came near the two referees.
Seth Rollins attacks Drew McIntyre
But McIntyre said "No". He felt there was no mistake from his side to apologize to the referees who he claimed to have had their part in him getting screwed in many instances. He felt it was the referees and Pearce who had to apologize him for letting Punk cost him the title. Pearce wasn't happy with it and barred Drew McIntyre from the arena with immediate effect and indefinitely.
That was when Seth Rollins came. Drew had claimed that Seth came in his way to avenge Punk. Rollins did not like it and gave back to the Scottish Warrior. Drew moved away from the impact as Rollins attempted for a Curb Stomp. Pearce was not happy with Seth interfering in his business. Drew walked away from the arena with a disbelief in his eyes.
