DIY to take on Awesome Truth for World Tag team championship

DIY won the triple-threat tag team match to challenge the World tag team champions for the title run. The duo of Ciampa and Johnny Gargano will be up against their Re-Generation X pair of The Miz and R Truth for the tag team Championship match in the upcoming week on Monday Night Raw. DIY has been impressive as a tag team in the last few months.

Gargano and Ciampa were one of the six teams who were in the 6-pack ladder match in WrestleMania XL. They gave an impressive performance but could not win the title. But they gave themselves a second chance to go at the title. The duo defeated the Creed brothers and the New Day to earn a spot to go at the Awesome Truth the upcoming week.

The match was good and crisp. All the wrestlers showed what they got. At one point, the Creed brothers dominated the match. But New Day showed why they are regarded as one of the best tag teams. Ultimately, DIY reigned supreme, as they won the match. Regardless of the result, the Raw tag team belt will be with Re-generation X for the next few weeks.

New look for the World Tag Team championship belt

Before the match, Triple H and Adam Pearce introduced the tag team pair for the ring. They made a big announcement regarding the tag team belt. The administration decided to get away with the existing look of the tag team belt. They replaced it with the tag belts which have a new look. It is very similar to that of the world titles of the men's and the women's divisions. 

R Truth was at his funny best. As Paul Levesque revealed the belt from hiding, Truth claimed him to be a magician. The tag team champion regarded Ciampa as the true 'Triple H' and not Paul. The new look of the tag team belt was very much essential given how average the existing pair of belts were. R Truth was happy to see the new look of their belt.
