When Damian used his Money in the Bank 2023 briefcase against Drew McIntyre who had just defeated Seth Rollins and been assaulted by CM Punk to win the championship, the world was shocked. Priest won the title by pinning Drew McIntyre, seizing the opportunity to capitalize. 

At the WWE Money in the Bank 2024, the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion faced off against Seth Rollins, the first WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The most tumultuous event of the evening was the title bout between Damian Priest and Seth Rollins. A significant botch occurred when Damian Priest was beneath Seth Rollins and the referee counted till three Priest didn't kick out; WWE ridiculed and discussed the incident on social media for weeks.
