Cody Rhodes uses 'Cool man' meme template to reply to Carmelo Hayes' Homelander reference

Cody Rhodes used the 'Cool man' meme template to reply to Carmelo Hayes' 'Homelander' reference to have a go at the American Nightmare ahead of their match on Smackdown. Hayes took a dig at the world champion and said it was fatal to have a friend like Cody who breaks the hearts of their friends. Cody used the "F**k you' gesture to troll Hayes.

Carmelo Hayes used the image of Hamelander and his opponent referring them to Cody and himself respectively. Hayes claimed what he wrote was undeniable. "Woke up today and chose to be undeniable #SmackDown," wrote the former NXT star on X.

It seemed like the world champion did not like being addressed as Homelander. He hence used the viral meme template of the Cool Man. However, there was a small twist. He shared his opinion about the post. Cody Rhodes edited the Cool Man's template showing a middle finger. In the process, he replied to Hayes' post.

Carmelo further came up with a post about their match. The star wrestler said it was their second match on the main roster. Carmelo regarded himself as not qualified to tell anyone about a good friend. In the process, he made a reference to turning against Trick Williams during his NXT days.

However, Carmelo felt Cody was not qualified enough to talk about friendship. "Tonight. #CrashoutCody vs Melo II I know I’m not qualified to tell anyone about being a good friend. But at least I can admit it. Cody won't. Now we’re here. #Smackdown," wrote Hayes on X. Both posts have gone viral on social media.

Fans felt it was good to see Hayes taking on one of the best WWE stars on the roster in a unique way. The results were not the best for the emerging star, as he suffered a loss on Smackdown. However, he put on a show and proved himself more than good enough to go head-on against someone like Cody.
