Damian Priest defended the World Heavyweight Championship at the Clash at the Castle, thanks to a bit of assistance from CM Punk. The hometown boy and the fans felt robbed as Punk cost Drew the title. McIntyre got a thunderous welcome from the home crowd. The star wrestler came out after a group of performers gave a brilliant welcome by performing the theme song of the star.

Throughout the match, the fans were behind the Scottish Warrior and chanted his name. Even when Damian Priest entered the arena, there were chants of "Drew McIntyre". The match was contested well by both wrestlers. Neither of them had a clear advantage over each other. Damian got control of the match in the first few minutes, which was momentary.

Drew returned to the match and got the crowd behind him. He delivered a DDT and attempted to pin Priest. But the champion kicked out at two. There were exchanges of punches. For every punch from McIntyre, there was a chant of "Yay". For Damian's punch, there was chant of "Boo". Drew delivered a Glasgow kiss and a Neck breaker. Priest countered with super kicks.

CM Punk's problem continues for Drew McIntyre

The crowd got behind Drew who aimed for a Claymore. But Priest moved out of the impact. McIntyre delivered another Glasgow kiss and a claymore through the barricade outside the ring. Inside the ring, McIntyre attempted for a Claymore. But Priest countered with South of Heaven chokeslam. Drew did not allow a pinfall and licked out at two. The fans chanted "This is Awesome".

Priest delivered a hurricane roller and Drew countered with a Claymore out of nowhere. Damian kicked out at two. The referee got hurt by an impact from Damian and went outside the ring. As McIntyre delivered a Claymore and could not get a pinfall count by the referees, a new referee came out of nowhere. It was CM Punk! He pinned for two and refused for the third pin.

Punk was in the arena to make the life of the Scottish Warrior a hell. Drew tried to take out the voice of the voiceless. But the Chicago star delivered a low blow and waited outside the ringside to watch the end. Priest took advantage of the indirect assist and delivered a South of Heaven chokeslam. The referee recovered and counted 3 to declare Priest the winner.
