'You're not next Kurt Angle, you're you' - Chad Gable reveals conversation he had with Randy Orton

Chad Gable was in a podcast where he revealed a compliment he received from Randy Orton after one of his matches. The star wrestler said that Chad established himself and was not the next Kurt Angle. Gable said that Orton said he was the best version of himself and did not have to be the next Kurt. Chad said he was taken aback by the compliment.

"He found me back in the locker room after one of my matches and said, ‘You made it, man.' He's like, ‘There's no more ‘Next Kurt Angle.' That stuff's done. You're not next Kurt Angle. You're you. You found it, you found who you are, and you're showing everybody now.' I was taken aback," said Chad in the podcast. Gable added that getting a compliment from Randy Orton meant the world to him.

He later spoke about the comparison between him and Angle. It is worth noting that Chad Gable is regarded to be the next Angle by many due to similarities in their way of going about the business, wrestling skills, character, and so on. When asked about the same in the podcast, Chad claimed himself to be lucky to be compared to someone like Kurt.

'He could be considered to be one of the greatest' - Chad Gable on Kurt Angle

The star wrestler claimed Kurt to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Gable said that Angle had everything in him to be regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers in history. However, Gable added that the comparison by the fans between him and Kurt never bothered him. He considered himself lucky to be compared with someone like Angle.

"He could be considered to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest, especially the guy that crossed over, pro wrestler of all time. Athletically, character-wise, entertainment-wise, everything, he had it. The comparisons never bother me. If it was to someone else or someone I didn't myself in, it'd be different, but how could you be bothered? What a compliment, and it always has been.”
