Another big name was pulled from the 'King of the Rings' tournament after Drew McIntyre and Asuka were pulled out of their respective games as both were unable to compete in the matches. It seems that this is an unexpected jinx, and this time it's the All Mighty who is out of the tournament.
Meanwhile, WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has revealed that Bobby Lashley will not be part of the King of the Ring tournament after not being able to pass the medical test. The star player suffered an injury just hours before SmackDown and was set to be in the game. However, it's not yet clear how severe the injury is or when he will return to the ring.
Aldis took to social media and informed that Lashley had been injured during the training and wouldn't be able to compete. The great wrestler revealed that Toma Tonga is set to take his place and will be using the opportunity to win the contesting battles. The 37-year-old has wished great luck to the rest of the players who are set to win the games.
I’ll see you all there tomorrow night, only on SmackDown: Nick Aldis
“Good afternoon, WWE Universe. It’s your Smackdown GM, Nick Aldis, with an update and some slightly unfortunate news ahead of tomorrow’s SmackDown. Unfortunately, as many of you know, Bobby Lashley was set to take on Tama Tonga in the King of the Ring, but I’ve been informed that Bobby has suffered an injury during training, and he’s going to be unable to compete. He’s not been medically cleared to compete in that match tomorrow night. So unfortunate news for Bobby Lashley, but a fortunate opportunity for the man taking his place," GM Nick Aldis said.
"And that man, I have decided, will be Angelo Dawkins of the Street Profits. So tomorrow, for the first time, Angelo Dawkins of the Street Profits will go one-on-one with Tama Tonga in the King of the Ring. Best of luck to both of those men, and I’ll see you all there tomorrow night, only on SmackDown,” he added further.
