The 2024 Wimbledon Tournament organisers have announced a record rise in overall prize money for both singles and wheelchair groups. Notably, the singles prize money at Wimbledon was £44.7 million last year.

The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club officials announced on June 13 that this year's prize money for the singles tournaments has increased by 11.9% to a record £50 million ($65 million). A £2.35 million prize was awarded to the singles champions last year; now each will receive £2.7 million ($3.45 million).

The 2024 Wimbledon Tournament singles champion will be awarded the greatest sum of all Grand Slam winners. Meanwhile, the winners of the singles events at the Australian Open and French Open in 2024 took home prizes of $2.1 million and $2.6 million, respectively. The US Open champion in 2023 pulled home $3 million.

These unprecedented raises follow the 2023 Wimbledon Tournament's announcement of pre-tax earnings of £36.6 million and revenue close to £400 million.
